Do I need an account?
No. Core local history organization works without an account. Sign-in is mainly for the 30-day Pro Trial, Pro entitlement, and purchases.
Does BestHistory upload my browsing history?
The complete browsing-history database is not uploaded to the account server. Only when you deliberately use AI are limited fields needed for that request transmitted; see the Privacy Notice.
Does AI read my entire history?
No. AI Recall receives the query, tags and a small number of local hints. AI Organize receives limited website metadata in batches. Full history, page contents, Private Mode data and backups are not sent for AI processing.
What does Pro cost?
$2.99/month, $24.99/year, or $59.99 one-time Lifetime. New accounts currently receive a 30-day Pro Trial.
How do cancellation and refunds work?
Monthly/Annual subscriptions can be canceled through Paddle’s customer portal or management links in Paddle emails. Refund requests are handled by Paddle Buyer Support and the applicable Paddle refund policy.
Where is Private Mode data stored?
Private Mode records are encrypted locally. The password and decrypted private records are not sent to BestHistory servers.
Why isn’t the source code on GitHub?
The public repository is for the website, product documentation, policies, support and release information. The BestHistory application source code is proprietary.
